The part almost nobody talks about: making the new system speak to the ones you already have, putting it online, keeping it standing over time. A product proves itself when it works on Monday morning.
The name is no accident
In Brazil they call it aipim, macaxeira or mandioca depending on the region — the same plant. But aipim is the sweet variety, the tender one that makes it to the table. We did not come across the name by chance: the two letters that matter are already inside it — AIpim — and studying how the plant actually works showed us the choice was even better than we had realised. Four qualities above all.
Once mature, the root sits underground for months without a drop of water and loses none of its value. We don't work in seasons: what we build has to hold up in the months when nobody is watering it.
Poor soil, little water, few resources — cassava grows all the same. You need neither an enterprise budget nor perfect data to begin. You start from what is already there, and there is usually more of it than you would expect.
It feeds a billion people and is the third largest source of food energy in the tropics. It isn't the rare dish on the menu: it is the base. Like AI once it stops being a demonstration and becomes the way you work.
Flour, starch, tapioca, bread, desserts, animal feed, even glue and biofuel. The same root, uses with nothing in common. One craft, many applications: from the platform that brings companies and creators together to the agent working inside your own systems.
aipim — noun, Brazilian Portuguese: sweet cassava root. In the north of the country they call it macaxeira, in the centre and south mandioca. Three names, one plant: it depends where you are standing. Rather like good ideas.
How we actually work
Freshly dug cassava cannot be eaten: it carries compounds that make it toxic. It has to be peeled, soaked, cooked. The processing is what makes it good and nourishing — nobody brings a root to the table straight out of the ground.
The same principle applies to artificial intelligence. What a model produces on the first attempt is raw material: sometimes brilliant, often generic, sometimes wrong with great confidence. Publishing it as it comes is the reason so much of what now circulates online convinces nobody.
We bring the craft. Artificial intelligence does what it does well — speed, volume, variants, infinite patience — and on a great many things it gets there on its own. Our job is knowing where it does and where it doesn't, and stepping in only there. It is not a delay: it is the reason the finished result is something you can put your name to.
Our technology
QuoLab.ai is a platform that connects companies with micro-creators to produce video. We conceived it, designed it, built it and put it online ourselves: it is our own software, developed in house, not a client's project. It is the technology the company is built on, and the first of others to come.
Sign-up, campaigns, production, review, approval. Not a clickable prototype: a product that works.
At its centre is a system that gathers what the company asks for and what the creator proposes, and composes them into a single direction.
We believe in the full potential of artificial intelligence and we let it work. We stay attentive to what comes out, because a platform is judged by how it holds up once people actually use it.
How a project begins
An hour of conversation, no presentations. We work out what you do, which tasks repeat every day and where a system could take work off your hands.
We draw the architecture: what the system has to do, with which data, where it fits into what you already run. On paper first, in code second.
We start small but concrete: a first version that works and can be tried straight away, rather than six months of work and a single release at the end.
The system goes into production, with the instructions to run it. And we keep an eye on it: software doesn't end on delivery day.
